SUPERVISION

Supervision is a professional and ethical requirement for all counsellors and psychotherapists. The BACP minimum requirement is 1.5 hours of supervision per month for each month that counselling is undertaken.  Although I specialise in infertility I supervision to all counsellors.

Counselling makes considerable demands upon the counsellor. Supervision helps to overcome some of the difficulties this creates.   As with my therapeutic work, my supervision work places firm emphasis on the relationship. I endeavour to provide a safe, supportive space in which we can work together reflecting on, exploring, and developing your own therapeutic work.  All sessions are carried out via Skype which is incredibly time efficient and flexible.

 I can offer you:

                 • Support with reviewing your client work
                 • A safe place to explore your feelings around your practice
                 • Help with managing stress and support systems
                 • Knowledge about ethical considerations
                 • Help with integration of theory and practice
                 • An alternative viewpoint

I work in private practice myself, I have a wealth of business skills and experience I can offer to support practitioners who currently work in or are thinking of setting up their own private practice.  If you think you might be interested in working with me for supervision, or would just like some more information, please do contact me for a no obligation chat.
